Daily Announcements

Students going to Puerto Rico this April:  There is a mandatory meeting during

H Block-A today in Ms. Wilson's room. We will be planning the next few fundraisers during the meeting.

The Color-a-thon fundraiser run is in need of Volunteers this Sunday Oct 9th from about 10am to 12/12:30pm. They are in need of someone to play music and one or two photographers. They could also use anyone else who would be willing to help throw out color or pass out water at the end of the run. If you are interested in volunteering and earning community service hours, please see Mr. Hathorn in the Main Office.

The Homecoming Dance is this Saturday from 7:30 to 10 in the HHS Cafe. Cost is $7 or $5 with a canned good. Please note that bags will be checked as you enter the dance.

Any student who plans on bringing a guest to Saturday's Homecoming Dance who does not go to Hartford High School must pick up and complete the Visitor form with Robin in the Main Office.  We will not allow entry to the dance to anyone who is not a Hartford student or who has not had a Visitor form completed on their behalf.

Juniors who were invited to attend the athletic leadership conference next month should meet with Mr. Moreno this week.

Reminder to students taking the PSAT’s Oct 19th, please bring in your payment and permission slip to Sandi in the Guidance Office.

Do you want to play ice hockey, basketball, indoor track or bowling?  The parent meeting will be on Monday, October 24th at 7:00 in the gym.  You can get sign-up materials online or see Ms. Hansen in the Athletic Office.

Juniors: Bring in your class dues ASAP for a discount on prom tickets! You can bring them to Robin in the office. Thank you!

There is a Pep Rally during Block 4 today and come on out and see the Fireworks  display during the HOME Football game @ halftime tonight.

Interested in reciting poetry, giving speeches, or performing a radio broadcast? Maybe you are interested in law or business and want to improve your skills in speaking and persuasion.  The Hartford Speech and Debate Team will have its first meeting after school on Wednesday the 12th in Mr. Dixon's room 130 from 2:45-3:15. Even if you are not sure about joining the team, come by and find out about speaking and debating opportunities in Vermont.
