Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC)
Each year, VSAC publishes a booklet of mainly local scholarship opportunities. Most are for seniors only and the deadline is always early March. Because local scholarships almost always have fewer applicants overall, it's definitely worth taking a look! Booklets are available in guidance or you can click on the VSAC link to the left for more information.
The state of Vermont offers students the opportunity to apply for need based grant funds that can be applied to most accredited colleges, even out-of-state schools.
The Vermont Grant, all VSAC administered scholarships and most need-based scholarships require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Also, student who plan to take student loans must complete a FAFSA each year beginning their senior year in high school.
